Rose Messenger is a 25-year-old singer, actor, dancer, and musician originally from New Brunswick, Canada, and now based in New York City. She is a graduate of the BFA Musical Theatre program at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).

Rose works extensively across both the United States and Canada and is currently touring the U.S. with the national tour of The Music Man. She was also a member of the original Canadian company of the hit Off-Broadway musical Titanique, performing as a Background Vocalist and understudying Celine Dion, Rose DeWitt-Bukater, and the Unsinkable Molly Brown with Mirvish Productions (Toronto, ON) and The Segal Centre (Montreal, QC). Her other recent credits include Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show with Rogue Productions (Fredericton, NB), Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at Black Rock Theatre (Fairfield, CT), Josie Pye in Anne and Gilbert at The Island Festival (Charlottetown, PEI), Cinderella at Westport Country Playhouse (Westport, CT), and Bea Bottom in CCM’s production of Something Rotten. This summer, Rose is thrilled to join the company of Once at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts in Saugatuck, MI, as a swing, covering one of her ultimate dream roles, Girl.

Beyond the stage, Rose is a passionate songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with an extensive background in piano, accordion, and guitar. She shares previews of her original music on TikTok and is always creating something new. When she’s not performing, Rose can be found inventing silly characters, logging miles on Strava, writing music with friends, or exploring local thrift stores.
